Well, we made it through the Valentine’s Day rush. This year we were honored to become a drop shipper for 1800flowers.com. We produced 3 Valentine’s Day items for them. One of those items was their best seller of gourmet food products…YAY! We were hit hard with over 2000 orders, which we successfully managed to get done and out the door in time. Not that I had my doubts that my staff could get it done; I just think no one had any idea what that impact would be like.
Besides 1800flowers, we have pick up a few new accounts, as well. Those seem to be working out great. Drop shipping for other websites has been very successful for us. It forges great partnerships with other companies that want to sell our products to their customers. We truly believe in the quality of our products and we are flattered that these companies believe in our products, as well.
What does the spring have in store for us? Well, launching new products for one. I won’t spoil the surprise, but I think this will be a good one. Also in the works is a tasty “thank you” gifts for all of our orders. I think this is along overdue.
I rarely talk about myself personally, I don’t think this is what this blog is all about. But, I have had my fair share of hardships in the past couple of months. When I stop and take a look around me, I feel blessed to have a great family. Veronica is doing so well. She turns 10 in June and is such a well-rounded, brite child. She is the best combination of me and my husband. She has been taking drum lesson for over three years now. She is in a band with 3 other 10-12 year old boys. How cute is that? She has an extraordinary talent that blows music teachers away. Her natural talent is a gift that I hope she stays with. I am also blessed to have a successful business. Through the past 8 years we have had our fair share of hiccups. But, we have weathered the storm. Unfortunately, price increases are in the future. With all of our core ingredients price increases, it was only a matter of time we did this. I hate taking price increases, but I understand why it is necessary.
That’s it for now. I have lots to do this week. Talk to you soon!
