Welcome Olivia!

Meet Olivia – our newest Customer Service Rep. She has lots to say so I thought I would let her blog…So…blog away, Olivia.

Just when I thought we were done with the holidays, Easter sprang right up on us! Valentine’s Day was a huge success, with many long nights packing orders, a lot of box making and plenty of take out delivery food. Our Oreo cookie hearts were a huge success! I wonder if that’s in part to our 15 minutes of fame on the Today Show? Nonetheless, kudos for that.

Now we’re working on our Easter Brownies, Easter themed cookies, as well as our Easter egg Oreo cookies, which I know will be just as big of a success as our hearts. Our shamrock Oreos were a pretty big hit for our favorite Irish nostalgic holiday. Definitely a lot of kids away at college going to enjoy those sweet treats after indulging in their pints of green colored beer and waking up in the bathtub. No, but on a serious note, I really wish my mom had sent me chocolate covered Oreos with shamrocks on them for St. Patrick’s Day; I guess living at home and going to a community college didn’t justify me getting anything.

Oh, I can not forget to mention our most delicious cake pops! We’re working on new design ideas as well as new flavors! I have but only one word to describe the decision process, ” DELISH.” Yes bloggers, I said ‘delish’. Josh, our Pastry Chef is really creative with his flavor trial and error runs. He’s got to be, he works with seven women. I can’t wait until we start selling his new flavors, they’ll definitely be a big hit! What are they? Oh you will have to check out the website because there are surprises too good to tell!

Photo and logo cookie orders are still coming in via internet and phone every day. I wish my mom loved me that much to put my face on a cookie! I been alive for X amount of years and I still have yet to have my face on anything, except the couch. They do look really cool once the product is finished; a true party favor on a stick.

The women out back do bust their butts making, decorating, wrapping, bagging and tagging everything! They’re quick and efficient and usually if there’s a problem, it’s probabbbbllyyy because of me. I get in at 10am, most days when I’m not running late because I overslept or had one of my million car troubles, and the phone’s already ringing before I can even clock in. Checking voicemails is a lot of fun because I get that annoying fax machine tone, or hang ups. I check our site’s email to see if any orders were placed overnight and print out a hard copy to work from. What are you people doing up at 2:15am ordering cookies and cakes? Someone has the munchies. I get to help people make decisions with their orders which is pretty cool because I’m in the office and I don’t usually get to help decorate or package too many orders. So this way, it’s like in some way I’m putting my two cents in every order. I go through a lot of printer ink because I print out too many copies and a lot of staples because I’m usually stapling and restapling. Hey, it happens! But my job is pretty awesome and I am definitely learning a lot pretty quick. I know to wear layers in the office because no matter how warm outside it is, its always cold down here. And I know the number to my favorite delivery pizza shop where the little punk rock tinkerbell works at. So, all in all..things aren’t so bad. I don’t want to jinx anything but I have a feeling we’re going to be all set for Easter. We’re getting ahead of things, something we did not do unfortunately for Valentines Day, despite all the help. So, cross your fingers and keep on ordering.
